Emily Vitaioli

My Approach
Emily’s therapy style is strength-based and centered around a positive and safe environment for change. She helps patients better understand their emotions, recognize patterns that may be holding them back, and develop practical tools they can apply in everyday life. Emily’s approach is not only about insight, but also about helping patients take actionable steps toward feeling more grounded, confident, and in control. Emily emphasizes creating a space where patients feel genuinely heard and respected, while fostering meaningful, lasting growth. Drawing from acceptance and commitment therapy, Emily supports patients in learning how to accept difficult thoughts and feelings while staying connected to their values. She also helps patients strengthen skills like emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and effective communication. She offers a balance of compassion and directness, helping patients feel supported while also being challenged in meaningful ways. By combining acceptance-based work with practical skill-building, Emily helps patients create changes that are both realistic and sustainable.
Whether it is using traditional talk therapy, going on walks, play therapy, or somewhere in between, Emily strives for meeting the patient where they are in their journey.
