About Dr. Jamie Bluemel
My Experience
Dr. Bluemel earned her Psychology Doctorate from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and attended the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign for her undergraduate studies in Psychology and Communication. She sought to embrace the connections between mental health challenges, trauma, behavioral and learning difficulties, and the criminal justice system through an early career in forensic psychology, completing psychological evaluations with court-involved adolescents. After a few years “in jail,” she shifted gears to supporting our nation’s Veterans with serious mental illness through group therapy with a focus on skills for leading a value-driven life. Dr. Bluemel most recently worked with federal law enforcement agents in the Unites States Air Force, working for the Office of Special Investigations. This eclectic career allows her to bring unique experiences into her testing and therapy relationships, while keeping her on her learning toes! A life-long learner, Dr. Bluemel has sought to walk alongside her patients as she helps them navigate change, self-understanding, and self-love.
