Dr. Hassan von Schlegell

Ph.D.

My Approach

Challenges are difficult, by definition. Dr. von Schlegell works collaboratively with children, adolescents and their families to engage meaningfully in these experiences through a personal, yet professional relationship. Empathetic in his approach, Dr. von Schlegell is focused on the developmentally appropriate growth of the individual and family in their shared work. Optimistic through continued steps of action, Dr. von Schlegell has a Cognitive-Behavioral orientation in his work. For many families, children and adolescents, such an approach has been found to be extremely beneficial. Dr. von Schlegell has worked in clinical settings as well as educational settings and as a result of these experiences, Dr. von Schlegell works collaboratively with parents, physicians, and school districts. As someone very familiar with the child/adolescent and parental pressures of high-stakes activities such as athletics, Dr. von Schlegell has worked with many athletically oriented children and adolescents to more effectively address the challenges they face.
