My Experience

Alison has always had an interest in helping others, and a desire to engage in meaningful work. With her Bachelor’s in Psychology, and Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health, she was able to build a foundation of knowledge, awareness, and proficiency in all things people-related. She has provided mental health services in a variety of settings, and has experience working with adolescents, teenagers, and adults with various issues of concern. She has been exposed to a wide variety of presenting issues that have prepared her for working with, and supporting individuals while providing evidence-based practices to those undergoing developmental, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional concerns.

She has a background in severe mental illness, which has gained her the expertise and competency in dealing with higher risk, and more specialized treatment at an outpatient level. Her background and education have allowed her to specialize in eating disorders and body image concerns through additional credentials of becoming Eating Disorder Intuitive Therapy certified, on top of working with issues including self-esteem, anxiety, depression, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. She knows just how prevalent and consuming these concerns may be, which is why she is dedicated to these issues that affect so many, and is passionate about utilizing her strengths, knowledge, and skills to the best she can for each and every one of her patients.
