Alexis Walich

LPC

My Approach

The approach Alexis uses comes from a patient-centered standpoint. She believes the patient/therapist relationship is based on safety, trust, and honesty. Throughout this time together, Alexis will help you work toward achieving your goals. You are the expert on your own life, and as a therapist Alexis will be there for support and guidance. You do not always have control over your emotions and thoughts, but you have the power to change those thoughts from negative to positive. You gain insight and become self-aware when you are doing what you are comfortable with. Alexis enjoys incorporating expressive arts into counseling, when appropriate, because there are many ways for patients to express their own thoughts and emotions. She works primarily with patients in an individual setting and supports families/parents. Whether she is using traditional talk therapy, playing games, taking walks, or doing art with patients, Alexis has this ability to meet patients of all ages where they are at in their own journey.
