Tom Agan

MA and MBA

My Approach

Tom provides a highly engaging, strengths-based, results-focused counseling experience. After decades as a successful senior business executive and management consulting partner, Tom began a new career as a mental health counselor at age 64. As a member or leader of countless teams, Tom knows firsthand the importance of collaboratively creating treatment goals and plans, then working together as partners to make progress. As a spouse, father and friend, he also understands how commitment, compassion, and acceptance build trusting relationships. One of the things that sets Tom apart is his use of simple, real-time feedback: patients rate their sense of well-being and satisfaction at each session. Numerous research studies demonstrate that this can significantly improve results by ensuring that therapy is moving in the right direction. People describe Tom as approachable, inquisitive, insightful, and knowledgeable, with a good sense of humor that makes even the most challenging work feel a bit easier.
