The Importance of Consistent Therapy

Therapy is a process that can take years to finalize; for some people, it can take a lifetime. Prioritizing therapy and realizing that seeing a doctor of any kind is just as important to the crazy worlds of working, school, and extracurricular activities. To fully take advantage of the therapeutic process, committing to a schedule that best fits your need (i.e. weekly, monthly, etc.) is the key to success. For example, when playing on a sports team, you have to make every practice, or you’re out of the game – and the same can be said for therapy. Taking time to commit to a 50 minute appointment should be a priority, especially for those who have made the brave decision to start the therapeutic process in the first place.
