When you feel overwhelmed by work or everyday tasks, you often break down your tasks into smaller parts. This helps you to manage your time and your anxiety. Although adults are good at thinking small, children often lack the ability to do this. The next time your child is overwhelmed by homework or chores, help them break down their tasks so that they are more manageable. This will not only alleviate their anxiety in the short-term, it will provide them with a useful skill that they use throughout their life to reduce the stress of everyday life.
