Help for Children with Asperger’s

Parents whose children have just been diagnosed with Asperger’s Syndrome may wonder if their children will ever “get better.” The reality is that Asperger’s Syndrome is a pervasive developmental disorder that cannot be reversed. It can, however, be treated; children with Asperger’s can be taught to cope with this disorder and grow up to lead relatively normal and fulfilling lives, full of the rich connections and successes that their neurotypical peers experience. It is important for parents to collaborate with their childen’s teachers and therapists to determine how their children learn best, to ensure their success in school, therapy, and life.

Dr. Clatch, Roger, and Heather are all very experienced in working with children with Asperger’s and autism spectrum disorders, and want to help your child discover and grow their inner strengths. If your child has recently been diagnosed with a developmental disorder and you are seeking therapeutic aid, please feel free to call our office at (847) 730-3042 to schedule an appointment with one of our therapists. We are here for you and your family – let’s connect.
